  • What It Really Means to Ride It Out – Grit, Faith, and a Cowboy’s Mindset

    Jun 15, 2025

    Life kicks hard sometimes.

I’ve lived through days when the news, the loss, or the sudden change hit like a freight train—times that made me question everything I thought I had figured out.

But when life comes at you like that, you’ve only got two real options:

    Lay down and stay there.
Or get up, shift your mindset, and Ride It Out.

This isn’t about pretending things don’t hurt. It’s about not letting the hard days write your whole story.
It’s about choosing grit when giving up might seem easier.
It’s about holding tight to what you know is right—your faith, your values, your people—and walking forward even when the trail feels endless.

For me, “Ride It Out” is more than a slogan. It’s a way of life.
    It’s Texas-tough resilience.
It’s Western heritage passed down through dirt, struggle, and strength.
It’s a quiet prayer for the road ahead and a thank-you to the good Lord for the strength to face another day.

It can always be worse—God knows I’m not askin’ to find out.
But even when it feels like too much, I remind myself:

I’ve made it this far. And I’m not quitting now.
